Professional Staff

Rev. Randall C. Bard was installed as Bethel's pastor on July 13, 2008. Pastor Bard graduated from the Oral Roberts University in 1987. He earned his Master of Divinity from Concordia Lutheran Seminary, St. Louis, MO in 1997. He also has training from the Pastoral Leadership Institute in 2000. He has served at Lutheran churches in Bowie and Ft. Worth, Texas prior to coming to Bethel. He and his wife Connie have three daughters.
Randy Moerbe, has served as Bethel's Director of Christian Education since 1984. He has undergraduate degrees from Concordia University in Austin(1971) and Concordia University, Seward Nebraska (1973). He also received his Master of Science in Family Life degree from Concordia Seward in 2001. He has served parishes in Omaha, Nebraska and Baytown, Texas prior to coming to Bethel. He and his wife Betty have three grown children. Randy's hobbies include sports, home remodeling and trying to keep the church computers running.
Pastor Steve Wiechman (pronounced Wish-mun) is married to Jamie and will celebrate 20 years in May. They have four children. They live in Tomball where they are starting a nonprofit ministry called Breathe Life Ministries which serves Christian leaders and their spouses through personal retreats and focused prayer that shepherds their hearts toward Jesus' gifts of rest, healing, and play. Pastor Wiechman has worked in churches since 1995. He graduated from Concordia Seminary - St. Louis in 2003 and has served three different churches in Texas. Jamie home schooled their four children for ten years until she recently went back to school to pursue her masters in counseling online through Concordia University - Irvine.

Ruthann Stroud, has served as Bethel's Church Secretary since December of 2001. She graduated from the University of Missouri - St. Louis with a BSBA specializing in Marketing in 1985. She and her husband, Lynn, have three children.
Kathy Herwald is the Director of Finance & Assimilation. She handles the finances of the congregation and assimilation. She has been employed at Bethel since February 2002. She graduated from Texas A&M University with BBA in Finance. She is happily married to Greg Herwald and they are the proud parents of three grown sons. Her hobbies include being outdoors, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family.
Debbie Sadler is the Director of our preschool. She taught preschool for five years before she became the director at Lord of Life Lutheran Child Development Center in Corpus Christi. She was the director there for nine years before moving to the Bryan area. Debbie was also the director at Holy Cross Lutheran Learning Center in College Station for the past seven years. She and her husband, Mike, have two grown sons.
